A FRESH LOOK
Godfathers Pizza Chatham has been part of this community since 1987. For decades, this space has seen first jobs, family dinners, post-game meals, late-night laughs, and countless slices shared around the table.
And while the walls have held a lot of good memories, it had simply been a long time since the restaurant itself had a refresh.
Our recent renovations weren’t about changing who we are — they were about honouring what’s always been here, while making the space more comfortable, welcoming, and functional for today.
When we started planning, we asked ourselves a simple question: How do we respect the history of this place while giving it new life? The answer was to focus on connection, openness, and timeless choices that would feel just as good years from now as they do today.
From the beginning, we knew we wanted to work with local businesses to bring this vision to life. Partnering with local trades and suppliers meant collaborating with people who understand this community because they’re part of it. That shared pride showed up in every detail — from the craftsmanship to the care taken along the way.
What we didn’t want was a “brand new” feel that erased the past. We wanted a refreshed space that still feels familiar — a place where longtime customers feel at home and new customers feel instantly welcome.
Today, the restaurant feels brighter, more comfortable, and better suited to the way our guests gather and our staff work — without losing the character that’s made it a local favourite for decades.
This renovation reminded us that a restaurant isn’t just four walls and a kitchen. It’s a gathering place. A constant in a changing world. And we’re proud to continue that legacy.
To the local businesses who helped make this happen: thank you for your skill, patience, and dedication. To our customers: thank you for growing with us, supporting us, and sharing your memories — past and future — within these walls.
Here’s to the next chapter, built on the foundation of 1987. 🍕
A glimpse at what used to be, because we will never forget. So many Pizzas, memories and connections made.
